Compact Coilgun
Coilguns use electromagnetism to accelerate a projectile. My coilgun has about the same velocity performance as others online. Its main advance over the typical coilgun project is a more elegant and smaller circuit. All the parts can fit in a disposable camera, so I made a version that is indistinguishable from a camera. It fires a 1.5 gram projectile at around 20 m/s. (The velocity was found using a speed trap I made; I'll post that soon.)
